Tax Efficiency

Tax Efficiency is an investment strategy in which one chooses investments based on their tax treatment in addition to all the other investment factors (e.g. risk & return). Investors usually hold Tax-Efficient assets in non-retirement accounts such as individual brokerage/taxable accounts. Tax-Efficient assets typically include growth stocks, municipal bonds (munis), and Treasury bonds.
